Dealership service codes
The guy at the dealership gave me a vehicle history print out of my car , since I purchased a used certified M3.The print out shows me every time the car was in for servicing or whatever else. It also lists the mileage and date when work was performed. I was curious if there is a web sight where I can look up the the BMW defect codes that the dealership uses. They are mostly ten digits in length.and don't seem to jive with anything that shows up on the diagnostic chart that I received when purchasing a reset tool. If anyone can shed some light here I would love to hear from you.

You might want to check this out:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/Mult-Code_Reading/Mult-Code_Reading.htm The Motronic codes are actually four digits, and don't correspond to anything that is on the Peake tool. I think they used their own codes to limit the size of the display to two digits... -Wayne

I've been looking for this info too. My BMW guy can only tell me where the service was performed by reading the codes, not the actual work done.
