I have a 96 328i vert with a semi-automatic top. The roll over protection went off one day by its self when the vert top was up. Thatâ??s when I started to have top issues. I did the emergency top lever and the manual reset on the roll bars. Then I re-attached the motors and put the top in the down position. Next I held the top down button and turned the key to accessary. After 20 seconds the top cover latched as expected but the windows never went up at all, I was told they are suppose too since then I have replaced the roll over module, the convertible top module, the up/down dash switch and the motors. I replaced all 4 fuses. And still nothing is happening. The trunk micro switch engages correctly and the trunk opens as expected. I have tried the reset many times with no luck. The top is only 5 years old and worked great till recently. the â??convertibles onlyâ? shop that I went to has no more suggestions. Do you? Please help. The sun is finally out in Washington and I have to manually move the top up and down. If I canâ??t get this to work it will be the end on this car for me. Thank you in advance for any help. i know the photo did not help, I just wanted to attach one :

The roll-over protection triggering ma have bent the top bow, damaging it. if bent, a switch may be in the wrong state.
