I am putting H&R race springs on my 325 after riding in a similarly equipped car. I think they are about 550 lbs/in and they didn't feel that bad at all. I was tempted to go with the softer springs, but after taking a drive with the stiffer ones they seemed fine to me. The ride was about like my 911 -- a little stiffer but the BMW is heavier. I'll let you know after a few thousand miles. My only concern was whether or not the Bilstein sports are up to the task of the higher spring rates. One shop suggested Koni race shocks (which may be the way to go) but I am going to give the Bilstein sports a chance.
