I think it was '93 or '94. My roommate came home from the grocery store with a case (24) of Schaefer. He was so excited. It had been $4.99, and there was a $5 mail in rebate. It's one thing for beer to taste like water. It's something else entirely for beer to taste like the juice at the bottom of the garbage can at a bar.
