The rules as outlined in the second annual gift exchange:
The rules are simple:
1. You're giving a gift (anonymously, if you wish) to another Pelican. You'll know who they are, but they will only know who YOU are if you tell 'em.
2. Your gift can be anything...you already have in the house. No going out and buying anything. You've gotta already have it lying around.
3. Shipping of the package is limited to $5, or thereabouts. This is not meant to be extravagant--it's meant to be fun.
4. Gift should arrive to recipient by Christmas. Gift is not supposed to be opened (unless there are extenuating circumstances) until Christmas.
5. Post the gift you receive online.
