You can use early crush tubes instead of the bumper shocks. Thats a common swap. After getting rear ended with no damage im keeping my shocks though.
I was wondering if anyone has hollowed out the rear bumperettes and perhaps the bumper aswell to thin it out. On my 914 i drilled out the gas tank mounts and that made them nice and light.
