1970 911T Starter Wire Question

I have a 1970 911T that I have owned for 12 years. It has been undergoing a sporatic rolling restoration ever since I bought it. I have not done any major work to it for 6 years. Recently, the starter refuses to engage. I troubleshot the issue and have determined that the wire from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid has an issue. When I bought the car, I found that the ignition switch had been replaced with a generic switch and some of the wiring had been modified. The wire to the starter appears to be original. I have two questions:

1. Which wiring diagram should I be using for this car? The ignition switch wiring seems to line up with the earlier cars, but I have 18 fuses.

2. I have traced the wire through the bulkhead. Where does it run from there? Is there a starter relay somewhere?

I can always run a new wire and get the car to start, but would prefer to figure out where the issue is with the original wiring.

Thanks.
