It’s just narrow body must be the angle of the photos that make it look flared, it has had a bit of damage on the left hand side which I will need to fix.

I really like the compmotiives I have always like a 3 piece rim and these came up for a good price on an old project.

Have to say I have been following your thread/lurking for ages and watching your build, really like what you have done with your 75 such a cool car plus I think your engine was about as oilly as mine when I got it.

Cheers
Since the compmotiives are 3 piece, what about making the wheel closer to 7". 7 with a 225 looks amazing on these n/b cars. If you can get the ET to +32 then you can stuff a 225 /50 in there with minimal rubbing and camber. As it stands, with an 8" you will be max cambered. Not that that is the end of the world, but it could make it look more stanced vw crowd (not that there's anything wrong with that! ) You might be thinking you don't want to spend the money on new inner wheel sections, but think about the outlay you will have on tires. Close to a grand when all said and done (shipping, balancing, etc etc)

Also I would demote that wheel project until after you get the 5speed and the engine degreased. Drive it for a while like that, then head to wheel town.

Cheers!
