I have one of the old white plastic food saver brand and it's still going fine.

I fight fluids migrating and messing up the seal. To that end I've lusted over the top load type that can seal a bag of soup if you want but just can't justify the cost.

Found some pre made bags on amazon that simplified the process a bit vs the continuous roll.

If I were to buy new I'd try hard to find a reputable brand that has a better way of coping with wet foods. Current method is to fold up paper towel and hit the 'seal now' button when it starts to soak up liquid.

Well i had #6 adjusted perfectly but then just before i tightened it a butterfly in Zimbabwe farted and now i have to start all over again!
I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.
