I am confused by your response listing defense backing the claims of the study cited. Are you agreeing with me?

The same is true for "Causal inference from observational data remains difficult". Both are true for even the best study (but the study, Moffitt et al, explains the great lengths taken to avoid incorrect conclusion).

It is no more "we assume" than any other scientific study. Well done and well defended. There are many "studies" claiming otherwise...well-funded by the legalization lobby...but obviously flawed (likely intentionally). Those are usually lauded by drug users/pushers(much like the decades of denial regarding cigarettes)...because it helps them sleep at night.
