Managed to leave work a little early today to get to the paint store before they close.
Finished grinding the weld , then etch primer .
While this was drying I practiced on paper with the stone guard and got good results that would match factory finish .
Then masked the trunk and blasted some stone guard.
Unfortunately , shooting it down a funnel-shaped masking effort got not so good results
I decided to have a go at polishing a turd and removed excess and Leveled it with an acid brush , then about 10 minutes later removed masking and dabbed with an artist brush , then 5 min later went over it with a 4” foam roller .
I’ll dust the whole area with black paint tomm0row and see how well new blends into old ...
