The 3.2 is my choice, the extra 200cc's plus the fact that the motronic can be tweaked gives it the advantage, at least in power. I've got 245hp with just exhaust (pre-muff, sport muff) plus a Steve W chip....it moves the 2600lbs along nicely.
That said, I'd take a excellent condition SC over a not so excellent 84-86. My 80sc was a great car and served well as a daily driver and also allowed me to have plenty of fun at Laguna, T Hill, Butonwillow etc.
If your budget allows....go for a 87-89 3.2.....I do not think you'd be sorry.
