There've been a couple posts that says the cables can be rehabed. One said you can hook a 3mm tubing and syringe with oil and force the oil down the cable, another said just pull the core out of the cable, sand, and replace. I'm working on the latter, but like everything on these precision machines, often there's limited space to work. As for me, I've gotten as far as releasing the cold air cable...then decided I need to remove the entire panel to get to the cockpit end. After a lot of thought, I decided to work on the headlight washer, front turnsignal, front condensor screen, repaint the valence...well, you get the picture.
