Is "bed liner" better fuel tank protection???
My 74 sat for 6 years, pumped it out and pulled it for cleaning. While wire wheeling the rust off the flanges, I encountered some ugly rust, while removing it, I found some perforation - new tank time.
So I now have Pelicans galvanized TRG new tank and I want to protect it, particularly, the bottom, where the schutz and paint had scraped through, causing surface rust.
Does anyone have an opinion regarding "Schultz/paint" versus bed liner?
I got a rough quote of about $150-175, but I need to have it "sealed with a good coat of auto paint", to prevent lifting of the liner.
I'm all ears,
Thanks guys,
Chris
