I would resolder everything.
Get a small pair of needle nose pliers and hold the wire to the component between the component and the soldering. The soldering is done on the back of the board. The pliers hold the wire on the other side of the board and serve as a heat sink that soaks up some of the heat traveling up the wire that can damage the component.
There were over 100 joints on my Mercedes. Needless to say, use a small soldering iron.
On my 86 951, the board is in an aluminum box above my left leg about over the clutch pedal.
