Triad, Triad, Triad

When shopping for a teener I drove lots of cars w/ aftermarket systems (Bursch, Monza, ...) and none of them impressed me. Either the sound quality was wrong, or the overall sound level was too high, or there were wickedly annoying resonances at certain RPMs. I vowed only to run the stock muffler when I finally found a car. That was until I heard cars running the Triad system. The sound quality was rich, deep, and mellow; makes the 914 sound much more mature.

Well, the day finally came that I got serious and decided I needed that edge to beat the Miatas in my autocross class. I ordered the Triad system and installed on my otherwise stock 74 2.0. Wow! Like Miles noted the peak torque moved down in the curve, but unlike Miles, I don't think I gave up much top end. Obviously w/o dyno results this is purely subjective. For autocrossing and back road bombing, the new power band (3000 - 5200) works great.
