Finally took a stab at doing tuneup on my car. It's a stock 82 911SC . I did entire list of basic replacements, such as rotor and cap, spark plugs (Bosch wr5), pulled all injectors, cleaned and resealed. And of course valve adjustment.
I could have sworn when Z1 on pulley was aligned with notch, my rotor was pointing to 2 o'clock if the two side tabs for distributor cap is at 9 and 3. I just double checked and it is 180 deg (7oclock). What am I missing,
Also I assumed wires went back on cap, same firing order (ccw). 1-6-2-4-3-5
Perhaps this is what's causing the car not to start
