Question Re-torqueing(Sp?) 2.2 Heads/Compression Hissssssssss

I posted earlier about my 70 911T having a compression hiss and got some great insight into my problem (loose head) from Otto and Hatari. Thank you both...........

I discovered that the top rear Hex nut on #1 clyinder was actually off of the threads as well as a couple of cylinder cooling fins were broken. I replaced it as well as the washer and re-torqued it. It helped a lot but I still have a little hiss.

My question is this; can I re-torque all my head hex nuts without worrying about the cam towers getting in the way? Will I need to move or remove them? I was about to do all of the head hex nuts but it looked like at least one of the head hex nuts on each cylinder would be obstructed by the tower so I chickened out because I thought I'd mess-up my timing chain adjustment.

Am I being too conservative????????

Comments would be appreciated.
