I have spent that much on a renovation of my 69S, 73T and 83SC (almost) but not on a 57,000 mile car. The replacing of the carpet is the repair I would want a clearer understanding of.

I have a Porsche acquaintance that also purchased a low-mileage 87 in which the previous owner had spent an insane amount of money in a similar fashion. Big difference was it was over a period of ownership not one fell swoop.
