Well I finaly had that friend at the BMW dealer run a diagnostic check for me and it showed a bad kick down switch but the kick down switch is working. He thinks that it may be a bad throttle position sensor (just like you thought Wayne) so I will be installing it today to see if that's the problem. I will keep you informed.
