I wouldn't sweat the "
... relatively stock look on the dash ..." issue for the sake of a decent DIN-sized AM/FM/CD deck. If you want to split authenticity hairs, 914's didn't come with factory radios anyways.
Nobody's gonna notice, and the way-the-heck-over-there dashboard access is more convenient.
