looking for 69-73 911 Targa door exterior window molding clip to door surface protection. Probably used on other years & models as well.
The fabric acts as a buffer between the molding clips and the painted door metal. It’s blackish; about 5/8"(15-16mm) wide and maybe 1mil thick. Looks like a cross between linen and a thin textured canvas. I have not found any reference to it in Porsche diagrams or manuals. Pics attached are a remnant of the original material.
Please let me know if anyone know a source for this or an alternate material. The material allows water and air to filter through it? I’m testing some ground cloth materials but would prefer the actual material if it exists.
