Look again at the picture provided by Karl. The starter is mounted at the 4-5-6 cylinder side. That is the passenger side for a LHD (left hand drive) car. Unless you have a RHD car, ignore this post.

To remove and reach the starter fasteners you have to be under the car passenger side or at the 4-5-6 cylinder side. I can not imagine how you could remove the fasteners if you are at the driver side for a LHD car.

A partial drop (optional) will give you an easy access to the starter upper fastener. Keep us posted. Thanks.
