You'll need a turbo, headers, intercooler not required - but a very good idea; increases safety and makes more power (cooler air is denser).

Plus any sensors you need for the EFI conversation; many use crank pulley with a timing wheel. CHT is a great idea.

Carrera manifold is far better for air flow, and would suit a motor with larger ports than 930 came with - especially if EFI converted. They're also fairly easy to pick up complete with fuel rails etc. You should bin the injectors anyway in favor of a set designed in the last 10 years or so.

Use any throttle body you like if doing an EFI conversion. On a stock one, only need to swap the TPS for one that gives more than idle/WOT readings.

930 long bell is too long to fit into a 911 without shortening, so 915, SBH 930 or SBH G50 are the only realistic options.

Depending on just how radical you intend to go, note that with care and forethought/preparation, a 915 can survive just fine for years - and with a fast-spooling turbo and a responsive motor (eg EFI) is a very fun car.

You don't say whether you're planning to drop the compression ratio in order to run "real" boost levels. If you do, you should probably plan on something stronger than a 915, at least for the medium-term.

Either a 930 or a G50 transmission will comfortably handle much more power than a stock 930 makes.

For the relatively tiny difference in price between fabspeed and RarlyL8 headers, talk to Brian (who's also a member here). Quality, materials specification, design, workmanship, support - all off the charts. And he'll make whatever you want/need.

Don't expect any aftermarket header with heat to bake you out of the car like the factory exhaust will.

Good luck. This will, eventually, cost you much more than just buying a 930, but at least you can drive it in the meantime and do upgrades as/when it suits... And the result should be a lot more fun.

Most of your questions have been answered before; the forum only shows a couple of pages of history - but all the older threads can be found with a search.
