I enjoy tipping when I feel the circumstances are right.

That's my rule of thumb.

I've not tipped when picking up take out - and I have tipped.

Sometimes it has more to do with the vibe of a place and it's staff than anything else.

And I have worked for tips before - including a restaurant.
