Oops, wrong location, guess we can’t delete a post
When I did a bare metal repaint a few years back, I shaved (removed) the battery boxes from my 70 911 and relocated battery to the smugglers box. However, it was difficult to access the battery due to the way the lid open and closed. So I reversed the hinges and added a leather strap with snap and two hold open snaps, one for closed and one for open.
