Back when I was in the metal manufacturing business in 2000 and earlier. The trend was high volume and high margin going off shore.
The work we had left in the US was largely the tweener stuff. Poor margin and middle or smaller volume.
See how that worked out?
Hopefully we can train ourselves to consume local goods going forward. I doubt it.
