Absolutely unsafe, you'll die under an 18 wheeler & be run over by 100 cars behind it.
Do I do it? Fuk yes, tires are expensive & I'm a cheap azz baztard. In reality I got about a 10% failure rate with just plugs, 0% with plug patches. Sometimes you just have no option but a plug to get home. Working on a couple thou in the rear on my zx, I do try to keep it under 200 though.
