Dude. These don't go together. I too am a lifelong Giants fan and would love to see Kershaw choke again. I'm sure he's a good guy, but he's a Dodger, so...
Of course, I've never even been to Chavez Ravine. I always lived in Giants territory and batted against Gaylord Perry when I was in 8th grade. He showed up on a weekend at our school in Portola Valley while we were playing a pick-up game. He asked if he could pitch. We said hell yeah. I roped a double off him into left center. He didn't give me his best stuff, or even a spit ball; it was a batting practice pitch. But at least I can say I hit a double off a Hall of Famer.
That last play of game 4 was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
I think viewership might go up, given the level of play that's developing in this series.
Instead of eliminating the shift, batters should learn to spray the ball to any part of the field. Then the shift will go away.
