Even things like temporary tags are not a required charge to the customer, they are just a cost to the dealer that most dealerships like to mark up and charge back. Right, I've gotten used to the "documentation fee" and a half a dozen other fees that usually add up to $200-300. They are BS, but seem to be charged at every dealer. This was shocking because it wasn't just a $150 documentation fee, it was nearly 5% of the cost of the vehicle.
