These are what I use in my outdoor light. I think I had to wire something different in the fixture to get rid of a ballast or something like that. I then had to buy an adapter from the smaller base of the LED to the larger Mercury Halide. At some point I just changed the whole fixture out because I think the light sensor on it went bad.
