They make one with the large end on it. The video I posted above uses a LED with the larger base. I went with the small base and an adapter figuring I might have to change out my old fixture before the bulb crapped out.
BTW, plenty bright. I didn't notice much if any drop off in how my driveway and parking area is lit.
