Overheard by someone in the know: "The J&J vaccine is the government issue cheese of vaccines." That's not to say it doesn't work. A friend of mine is in the medium risk category, and he got the J&J Vaccine, and then he also got COVID. All he had to deal with was what amounted to a bad flu. Was down for less than a week.

If your doc is ok with you getting one of the mRNA vaccines, then either will work. Fascinating technology. I got the Moderna jabs late Jan / early Feb, and a couple of weeks ago, I had my anitbodies tested. The results: my antibodies are pegged: they are higher than the maximum levels of the blood test. They do say that the Moderna vaccine is slightly more effective than Pfizer.

Bottom line: All three will greatly reduce the single more important factor: your chances of dying are significantly reduced. To me, that was motivation enough to get vaccinated.
