Yes you do but in iRacing most of the cars themselves dictate the H-pattern or sequential paddle shifting. I race a Rookie series of Formula Vee cars which use the gated shifter, that series is so much fun!
I race in the Fanatec GT series in a Porsche 911 GT3 R obviously with the paddle shifters. That car sounds incredible! You can also add a custom livery!
