As far as securing it goes. Well, it sort of depends on what's underneith. If your old dash is trashed and you want to replace it but are saving the money... just do what I did. I used the silicon and used two trim screws on each end of the overlay. When the doors are closed you can't see them.

BTW, my overlay also rattled something terrible against the defroster vents. Hope yours fits better.

Ditto that, mine warped into a pyramid looking thing where i could barely see out the window. I guess 110 degres will do that to one of these Hope you have better luck with yours.

Have you seen the carbon fiber ones? they look pretty sweet.
