I saw this yesterday. Love the song and this arrangement including Tito Puente Jr. on percussion, and the hammond player is killing it. I am a huge fan of Carlos and love that he is playing in the driveway of his home in Maui but... Not his finest work IMHO. His tone is unusually thin for a guy who made his mark with huge fat singing overdrive. His playing also seems a bit off, like he didn't fully warm up or arthritis is beginning to present real limits after 5 decades on world stages.
Maybe the producer wanted a different guitar voicing from him on this arrangement but if you are going to feature Santana, it's gotta have that trademark singing sustain IMO. Other than this, I really enjoyed the arrangement. Maybe I am being too harsh on a guy who I have studied his technique since Woodstock and seen live a dozen times.
