Matt, I started to disconnect the fuel lines from the sending unit in preparation to drop the tank, so when I pulled on the fuel lines the sending unit came with it! When I initially checked on it (right after the spill) the sending unit didn't move when I wiggled the lines and I didn't see or smell fuel. I was quite shocked when it came with my pull! I was immediately reminded of the first rule of troubleshooting--start with what you touched last. I've been running with no problem for over a year since I replaced the sending unit, but something happened recently and it was no longer secure. It is secure now! By the way, I used the Pelican article to help replace my sending unit last year and it helped immensely.
