Agree and both well stated. I missed this year's event, and hate to pile on.. but after checking out a few of the Luft 8 youtube videos and hearing the commentary I'd have to agree... its just sooo different now.
It almost stings when they speak about a custom mod on an old 911, something we've been doing for years.. saying " oh look on this old car, they're trying to mod it like a Singer." Really? And then all the check-book mechanics, nice cars but when you as about something specific, the owner has to check with the guy who does the work to tell you what it is or what's been done! WTF?
Hey, it's cool, hipsters have the right to play too.. but it sure dilutes the flavor.
