Won't bring the price down. Domestic production costs averages around $10 a barrel, with Alaska being on the high end. Production from ANWR will cost much more. Saudi production is estimated to cost them around 80 cents a barrel. They can profit in any market, where domestic production only makes economic sense when the price per barrel is high. May as well drain their resources first.
