I have Newage Cabinets and workbench bought from Costco. Buying directly from Newage online allows for more configuration options but the price from Costco is hard to beat, especially when they are on sale, as they are periodically.
I'd rate them a 7/10: they are sturdy, easily assembled, and look appealing (for garage furniture). The markdowns come from the following, listed from most to least annoying
- the doors only open 90 degrees, which I find annoying when there is limited clearance between the cabinet and car (I don't like moving my cars unless I intend to get them up to operating temp, if I can at all avoid it). Removing a bulky item from the cabinet becomes a multi-step process of opening the doors, pulling the item out, closing one door, moving the item, then closing the other door
- the quality and fit of the shelves inside the cabinets could be a bit better; the gap on the sides is larger than I like
- the roller bearings on the drawers are not good quality. I damaged one inserting a drawer during assembly and I wasn't handling it roughly
- the "light kit" is not very functional. The light output is way too dim and I repurposed it to light my toolbox
- the locks seem installed haphazardly; on some cabinets "locked" is in the 12 o'clock position and on others it is in the 9 o'clock position. I can probably fix that but it hints at the level of care that went into the product at the factory.
