Good question. I know it was avant garde it its day. I think even David Bowie dabbled. Interesting I didn't get into DB until after he died and I don't like the majority of his music. But what is good is good and he seem to understand that if he laid down a good beat with some rhythm that the song would sell.

Punk didn't have that. You have to remember that I grew up on Phil Spector and the Beach Boys. I had to work back into blues and rockabilly beyond what Elvis and Jerry Lee put out. Sam Phillips was a genius. Somehow IDT he would have embraced Punk.

I have long been a science fiction fan, so I enjoy the fantasy world of Star Trek and the Marvel universe. It is just pure escape and fun. So many movies can slip in CGI and you will not now.

AI is here, and real. Trying to ignore it is like ignoring old age. It is going to happen no matter what you want, resistance is futile. Yea, you can put up a good fight and feel better but the rest of the planet just marches on. I will continue to enjoy CGI movies.

As a car guy, you really should see the animated movie Cars. It is a great movie, with a good message, and Sally Carrera is Hot!
Glen, I did listen for a few years to streams like Pandora. It was a great way to explore. Sampling bit in iTunes was productive or I never would have found some of Van Morrison's later bluesy music which is fabulous. As I said, there are many exceptions out of the 1000's of releases.

I get that about "Cars." I just never had the chance or opportunity to sit down with the whole thing. I've seen enough clips to agree with you. Larry the Cable Guy as the tow truck is classic. I'll have to do that.

But you see, I also grew up with cartoons like Disney and Warner Bros. So a movie like Cars would not be like CGI to me even if no drawing was ever produced.

And I agree that I surely have missed many CGI instances because I watched the original "Fast and Furious." And I would admit that many (not that many) CGI explosions are better than what the pyrotechnicians try on the set. Little fires everywhere in a scene look stupid. That's not how fires work that I've seen.

But I'll stand pat on the fact that when the written word can't be determined as all human, then I don't trust reading. Someone said please don't muck up the pics thread with AI images. I agree with that. The gorilla on the motorcycle was intellectually vacant. There was no humor or irony, nothing. Why waste your brain?
