I think this is noble advice, but only for those it makes happy.
There's nothing wrong with listening to The Beatles, using a land-line phone, and never logging onto a computer. If that makes someone happy, they should do it. The ability to ignore change is a big perk of being older and financially independent.
What's not reasonable is to complain about change. So what if younger people like hip-hop, AI, and electric vehicles? Good for them. Those things make them happy. And one day, in the their old age, those will be the familiar things they cling to.
The net... It's okay to eschew change. It's not okay to be cranky about it.
