I seem to note a lot of "I's" in my first post. So I'm not expecting everyone to feel and act the same.

"I" was expressing my POV. I didn't expect someone like cockerpunk to agree with me in the very least. Or you if it matters and it doesn't to me.

What I am about nowadays is an awareness that now and then a culture game changer appears and it is my belief that AI now in the hands of the proletariat is yet another big step for society. I think history has shown us that we don't always handle these shifts in the best way.

For instance (and I think there is a bearing here) we have always had thieves, cheats and grifters. The Internet opened up the floodgates.

As a single example, eBay started off as a pretty decent option to sell things and over time became a contemptible gamble. The nature of people see that anything and everything can be manipulated for the unscrupulous.

I decry the very simple cell phone. What was a handy tool for communication has become the elephant in the room. For sure not all are going to see that. Especially those that never knew a time when there weren't any.
