having an early 911 is a special experience that one really can't describe, you just have to experience. For a reasonable price, you get a car that is both history and art and yet can maintain and surpass many modern vehicles all while giving you something most new cars can't - a unique vehicle.

And its that value that is hard to express either monetarily or by comparison to more modern Porsche cars. There is a soul to an early car that is missing IMHO from most cars on the road today.

Finally, because of the evolution of the 911 there is nearly no limit to the improvements one can make to ones car. The process of planning, saving and implementing those changes, sometimes referred to as "hot rodding" is my personal favorite aspect of the early car experience. I love flipping through mag's, surfing the web and reading about the efforts of you good people on your rides as I plan (dream) about what improvement I might make next.

I hope that I will always have an early 911 in my garage.
