Another good week, but not so much for pictures. How many paint/schutz burning/scraping pics does anyone need? The week also burned a lot of time getting the 84 up to speed for my first DE this Friday at Lime Rock. New rotors, pads (thanks so much to James here) and fixing the windshield wipers (pulling apart the HVAC really isn't that bad) took a day. That said, the dash is done and the interior is ready for the RSR-style cage. Given that bolting everything back on is right around the corner (ok, May) front suspension rebuild pics are appended.
Light Machine Gray will be the accent color for most parts. It really brightened up the interior
The car is getting a complete 84 suspension with Turbo brakes. Many/most/all of Elephant Racing's goodies are part of the recipe. This means through-body sway bars and appropriate mounts on the A-arms.
Cut off with a right angle grinder
More grinder fun
Can James (JPAchard) weld or what! The Miller 135 Mig is a great machine.
Ready for paint. I probably should have had these dipped, but then racing isn't easy, why should building your car be.
Painted and ready for new ball joint and Chuck's bronze bearings
In Portland and Bay Area this week on business, then Lime Rock on Friday and Saturday, so while James will be working on the cage this week, not much else will get done until this Sunday.
