I have heard of the pin in the clip shearing off…but in this case, one leg of the clevis sheared right off!!
Luckily I was leaving a stop light on a day with almost no traffic. SNAP, damn clutch pedal hits the floor. I then had to push her off to the side of the road and fetch a tow home.
I’ll have to say, this failure could have been a real problem had I been in the canyons or whatever!
