Porsches are not model airplanes. There will not be a list of materials or detailed instructions included with most purchases. Look up my post expressing frustration with the cam tower lines, nuts, and ferrules- I definitely am feeling your pain. To further confuse matters, there are, as a general rule, plenty of extra and/or unused items that come with the 'kits'. I have not run across any kits with missing items, but am sure there have been plenty shipped!

As an interesting counterpoint to the "gasket kit" arrangement, I know of a few people who do not order the gasket kits at all - rather, they know exactly what seals etc. they need for their rebuild and order them 'a la carte'.

I've spent plenty with Wayneco this year - but have also spent tons with my local wrench. They have been an amazing resource, just as is this board. So I try to split my dollars between them and Wayneco. Kinda helps though, that the local wrench gets daily deliveries from WorldPac and SSF and free shipping. Makes those "oops I forgot one gasket" moments much easier (and cheaper) to deal with locally.
