Damn they are cute! My daughter has fostered several pups, older dogs and a few cats, for the rescue she got her dog through. I honestly don't know how she does it. She's a bad ass.
Back to cats. My limited experience has been that they do well in pairs. Maybe try and adopt them out that way? I originally got my long haired cat Tilly in a pair with one of her brothers when they were 6 months. He sadly passed at about 6 years old from leukemia. We then adopted the ginger Oliver. My older girl, she's now 14, took to him quickly and they get along really well.
