One place is good as any...seems we redo this thread every couple months. It is a great upgrade...seems simple, but requires multiple skills.
Reasons to choose the factory one? None that I know of...other than...like the rest of the carrera setup...it is the factory way (porsche engineered), well documented and has worked well for the past 23 years. Its a good selling point for the car. Some might consider aftermarket setups to be "Mickey Mouse." You know.....ie the Chevy engine in a Porsche. If done right, any decent P-car mechanic can instantly recognize the factory unit and repair or find parts for it. It is possible that the factory setup is more durable or less prone to moisture damage (it is mounted in a very hot, wet, high vibration area), but I have not seen any evidence to support that.
