That's probably true. I once had to look up this hack for my BMW...not something you need very often.
A good number of people seem to know just the bare minimum about how to operate their vehicles. How many times have you seen someone driving in the slightest drizzle with their wipers on warp speed? They're probably unaware of the 'intermittent' or 'slow' speeds...just jam that lever all the way up as soon as a drop hits the windshield.
